About Us
'MUMSTM' was created by two mothers with a dream to provide the missing link to mothers of boys with hemophilia. Both shared an idea of providing encouragement and additional care to those facing such challenges. Bert Brown, mother of two, Chad and Todd, and Christy Argo, mother of Jake, believe that a mother of a child with a bleeding disorder has been assigned a special role in life. We are wonderful, intense, intelligent, nurturing, and gracious; we never give up, and we never stop. We are special, present at all times, inventive, ready to help, and involved. These qualities and more provide our sons with the skills, the know-how, and the determination to overcome any obstacles they may face in their lifetime.
'MUMSTM' will provide you, the mother, with resources, education, support, and a network to help in the management of your son's health care. We will produce newsletters and brochures, have monthly education call-ins, hold regional and national meetings and gatherings, and more. Our website will provide medical updates, articles of interest, personal stories, recipes for success, a scrapbook of memories, and a future chat room.
We want you to be a part of this. Mothers across the country need each other, both new and experienced.
